Research and development (R&D) is an integral component in our delivery of effective integrated solutions. Our Global Research and Technology Centre (GRTC) in Malaysia is our main R&D hub which supports and is also reinforced by R&D teams and laboratories in our global subsidiaries. This synergy between centralised R&D and governance, and localised operations ensures our technical experts and engineers are empowered to deliver customised products and services as well as promptly respond to situations in the field no matter where clients are located. We leverage transnational knowledge and experience to continuously improve to meet client expectations and industry and regulatory requirements, while making these developments readily available for Cahya Mata Oiltools’ operations elsewhere.

GRTC has extensive facilities for R&D, technical services, QAQC, and industrial training, which supports its key role in providing technical support and training, including troubleshooting services, for global operations. This encompasses training programmes in various disciplines for engineers which range from basic, advanced to intensive courses in drilling fluids and drilling waste management, and customised training for technical personnel from key customers.
