About the Cahya Mata Cement Sdn Bhd
Cahya Mata Cement Sdn Bhd operates state-of-the-art cement production facilities and terminals across Sarawak to ensure a steady and reliable supply of cement for infrastructure and construction projects. Our strategically located plants (Pending Plant, Mambong Integrated Plant and Bintulu Plant) and distribution terminals (Sibu and Miri Bulk Terminal) enable efficient production, storage, and delivery to meet the growing demands of the state.
The Pending Grinding plant, which has its jetty, is also equipped to receive inward bulk cement shipments when there is a need to import bulk cement.
Mambong Integrated Plant is located near Kuching. It houses clinker production and cement grinding facilities, ensuring a steady supply of raw materials for cement manufacturing. The plant is currently undergoing expansion with the development of Clinker Line Two, which will double its clinker production capacity to meet long-term demand.
Bintulu Grinding Plant is a key facility located in Bintulu to support cement distribution in central and northern Sarawak. It primarily focuses on grinding and blending cement to produce various grades for construction applications
These plants are supported by 6,000 MT marine flat store terminals in Miri and Sibu, each with pneumatic cement conveying facilities which are in turn serviced by three dedicated purpose built 4,000-tonne DWT barges that continuously transport cement from the plants to the terminals. Each barge is equipped with a fully enclosed dust-free pneumatic loading and unloading system that enables all weather operations.
In addition, these plants and terminals allow Cahya Mata Cement to maintain a strong presence across Sarawak, ensuring high-quality cement products are readily available to support the state’s infrastructure growth. With ongoing expansion projects, the company remains committed to increasing capacity and efficiency to meet future construction needs, as well as potentially extend our supply into nearby countries.
