Azhar Othman

Group Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide finance leadership and controls which include efficient financial operation, effective management of treasury, cash flow and overhead expenses, inventory management, cost reduction program and strategic long range plans.

• Responsible for the statutory accounts and tax for the Group and its subsidiaries.

• Also responsible on strategic planning, annual operation plans and performance management tracking.

• Key member of the Enterprise Resource Planning system implementation taskforce.

• Azhar brings with him a wealth of experience and leadership with over 35 years in diverse sectors including semiconductors, textiles, automotive, property development, real estate, investment holding, technology, energy and IT.

• Prior to this appointment, Azhar served in senior leadership roles at Dagang NeXchange Berhad as Group Chief Financial Officer and most recently as Group Chief Operating Officer.

Group Chief Information Officer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and driving digital transformation and information technology across Cahya Mata.

• Ensure IT policies, procedures and practices are in compliance with the Group’s operating policies and standards as well as relevant legislation.

• Safeguard the security, safety and integrity of the Group’s IT networks, systems and assets.

• More than 25 years of work experience including in senior leadership roles in multinational companies across various sectors, including IT, oil & gas, education, chemical, FMCG and the public sector.

Idzam Yuhaizi Mohd Yunos

Chief Risk Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group's risk management strategy, including integrating business and ESG risks, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong risk culture, and supporting governance through effective reporting and oversight.

• Assess and mitigate competitive, regulatory and technological threats to the Group’s capital, investments, and earnings,

• Detect and reduce business risks which could potentially jeopardise the Group’s profitability, operational efficiency and productivity

• Prepare risk analysis and risk reports to be presented to the Risk Management Committee and the Board’s Group Risk Committee

• Idzam's career spans over 28 years in various industries including automotive and engineering, energy and utilities, development and commercial finance, oil and gas services, and technology research and development. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Head of the Risk Management and Integrity Department at UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd, and the Head of the Risk and Process Improvement Division at Malakoff Corporation Berhad.

Shafik Azlee Mashar

Chief Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy and programmes

• Ensure internal controls operates effectively, comply with relevant legislation and align with Group operating policies and standards

• Oversee independent monitoring, evaluation and continuous improveoement of the Group’s governance, risk management and internal controls

• Lead a department that provues independent and objective audit and consulting services

• More than 25 years of work experience in various industries spanning telecommunication, IT outsourcing and fast moving consumer goods, in various roles covering telecommunications operations, project management and internal auditing

• Prior to joining Cahya Mata, he was Head of Internal Assurance at Maxis Berhad, and has previously held senior roles at Robi Axiata Ltd (Bangladesh), British American Tobacco, and Global Infrastructure Services (CSC)

• Prior to that, he was with various multinational and local companies at varying regional and global leadership roles, responsible for operations and audit throughout his career.
