15 September 2021 – The battle against the pandemic has been challenging for many, including NGOs such as Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) that has nonetheless remained resilient in providing the essential support and services to families dealing with their own battle with cancer in Sarawak. To support this noble cause by SCCS, CMS donated RM5,000 to help subsidize the organization’s services and to provide financial aid to five families under their care.
In addition, CMS employees banded together to raise RM3,200 for SCCS’ GoBald Virtual 2021 campaign, with four of our colleagues bravely stepping up to have all their hair shaved off in solidarity with children with cancer. Kudos to our CMS colleagues, Evelyn Jutem, Daugal Miting, Jimmy Chen and Jeffery Melintang for their commendable effort in showing us that pandemic or not, kindness and compassion will prevail!
Ms Joddie Sim, Executive Director of SCCS conveyed her appreciation to our CMS’ team for supporting children with cancer year after year and standing with them in solidarity through their challenging journey. “In this time more than others, this support means so much to the children, to give them strength in facing the fight against cancer,” she stated.
