18 January 2019 – A recycling campaign organised by CMS Group Internal Audit Department early in the year managed to collect a whopping 7,866.40kg from 250 employees who arrived early with their car trunks full with newspapers, cardboards, mixed papers, plastic bottles and aluminium cans. The response was so overwhelming that the collection truck had to return for a third time to transport the entire load to the recycling centre. This indeed was a record-breaking figure for CMS HQ! In return for the recyclable items, they were paid RM2,954.92 which later will be donated to charities in Kuching.
CMS organises recycling campaigns regularly to create awareness on the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling among its employees.
